Your mission, Ms. X, should you choose to accept it, is........ stay 39 forever.
It all started less than 12 hours ago when I was curled up on my sofa, puffing away on a Marlboro light whilst channel flicking when I hit on the program 'Make My Body Younger.' It was about a girl aged 23 with a 25 per day smoking habit and a love of junk food. A doctor tested her vitals and summised that she had a biological age of 35. She set about reversing the signs of her biological aging. I hasten to add, aided by the 1-on-1 attention of a specialist which unfortunately, outside the telly box world we don't all have access to. Anyhow, she did it dropping 2 years after 1 months effort.
Inspired to find out my biological age, I went on-line and googled for a test - low and behold I found one! Although not truly scientific, after answering 140 questions about my lifestyle, it flashed up on the screen my biological age - 45! This was much too my horror as I'm only 39 and on the brink of turning 40. As a consequence, I frantically lit up a fag and spend the next hour worrying what to do about it.
This morning determined that I don't want to age prematurely, I began listing what I need to do to reverse my biological clock. The obvious one being give up smoking (this will be tough - I believe this keeps me slim but then again, it ain't worked because I'm overweight!), followed by healthy diet and exercise (time to dig out the diet books and find the gym membership card) and last but not least, improve my state of mind.
I've ranked my mind last as I'm already working on this with a little help from my friend - Paroxitene. Unfortunately, I've inheritied generalised anxiety disorder from my beloved late Dad (why couldn't I have inherited his height gene instead - I'm only 5ft 1in - how I've yearned for long legs like my cousin) but thanks to modern medicine its going smoothly but I believe there is always room for improvement.
Mission Impossible, possible? I'm going to damn well try....
